By accessing or using the BrighterConnect platform ("Service"), including our website, mobile applications, and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
BrighterConnect is a transportation network company (TNC) operating in the State of Maryland. We connect riders with independent contractor drivers for on-demand transportation services.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
Riders may cancel a ride at any time. A $5.00 cancellation fee applies if cancelled after a driver has been assigned. No-show fees of $10.00 may apply.
Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of BrighterConnect. Drivers must maintain valid insurance, driver's license, and vehicle registration. Drivers receive 75% of the fare; BrighterConnect retains 25% as a platform fee.
BrighterConnect prioritizes safety. All drivers undergo background checks via Checkr. Emergency assistance is available through the app's SOS feature. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that pose safety risks.
BrighterConnect is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of Maryland, except where prohibited by law. You waive the right to participate in class actions.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States.
